Keep cleaning to a minimum and immediately dry. Wipe with a
soft cloth to remove skin oils and dust. If the jewelry requires more thorough
cleaning, you can utilize a barely-damp cloth with a tiny amount of mild
soap.  Then dry thoroughly, NEVER soak lava stones it is a porous rock, water can (and anything dissolved in it) seep into the pores and can take days to fully evaporate. Skip ultrasonic cleaners, steam, and chemical jewelry dips entirely. For diffuser pieces, let old
essential oil fade naturally between applications rather than trying to wash it
out; trapped soap residue is harder to remove than trapped oil.

-If your jewelry has Hematite: Some hematite is surface coated to produce finishes like rainbow, gold, or matte black that aren't native to the stone. The coating sits on the polished surface and can wear at drill holes or against findings over time. Coated material is also more sensitive to moisture, prolonged contact with water, sweat, or skin oils, and can lead to surface rust spots on the underlying iron oxide. Make sure to wipe with a dry soft cloth after use and store dry. 

-If your jewelry has Pyrite: Pyrite can oxidize over time, especially in humid environments or when in prolonged contact with skin oils, sweat, or perfume. The surface may dull, develop rust-colored spots, or darken, this is the iron content reacting with moisture and air.

To slow down any tarnishing:

 Store finished pieces in a dry place with anti-tarnish strips or silica packets, wipe beads with a soft dry cloth after wear

- To prolong the life of your jewelry. Keep away from the water as much as possible, do not go swimming, bathing or showering with jewelry on.

-Remove before sleeping

Do Not wear if you have known allergies to metals or stone materials! Our earrings are Nickle Free, but some people might be allergic to Hematite and or Pyrite, so please consider carefully before wearing.
